announce unique partnership to form Franciscan Physicians Hospital, LLC
Partnership is first of its kind in northern Indiana and the Chicagoland area
MUNSTER, IND. – The Sisters of St. Francis Health Services Inc. and a significant number of area physicians announced today a unique partnership for the ownership and operation of the Franciscan Physicians Hospital, LLC. The partnership joins the Sisters of St. Francis Health Services’ 130 years of financial and management strength with the clinical excellence of 85 leading general and specialty care physicians in the region.

Franciscan Physicians Hospital aligns the Sisters’ and the physicians’ common goals of clinical excellence, superb patient care, service to the community and financial strength,” said Barbara Greene, president of Franciscan Physicians Hospital, LLC.
The 63-bed Franciscan Physicians Hospital, LLC provides both inpatients and outpatients a variety of advanced medical services, including cardiac and orthopedic surgery, general inpatient and outpatient surgery, and a full range of imaging, radiology and lab services, and physical therapy. And, in January 2008, the hospital will open a new on-site Express Care Center to further extend medical care to area residents.
